20 Dairy-Free Paleo Parfaits to Add to Your Recipe Collection

Parfaits come in all shapes and sizes, from the breakfast-friendly varieties with fruit, yogurt, and granola to the decadent desserts with puddings and cookies and caramel. Then there are those that are somewhere in between, with healthier chia puddings and fresh fruit. Maybe you’ll find a new favorite flavor combination, or a new favorite date night dessert.

Yes! Parfait is back on the menu with the help of these paleo parfait recipes. Layer after layer of yumminess, and I don’t have to force myself to resist dessert.


1. Low Carb Eton Mess

Eton mess is a parfait dessert that typically involves fruit, whipped cream, and some kind of soft cookie-like treat mixed in. This one uses whipped coconut cream, homemade easy meringues, and fresh berries. It’s super tasty and easy to make. If you leave it unassembled, you can even prepare the parts ahead of time.

2. Mexican Hot Chocolate Chia Pudding Parfait

This parfait is made with different layers of chia pudding flavored with chocolate and vanilla. The chocolate flavor also features a spark of cinnamon and cayenne pepper for some heat, giving this dessert a Mexican-style flair.

3. Triple Coconut Chia Pudding Breakfast Parfait

These coconutty treats are sweet and fruity, but healthy and filling enough to make a lovely breakfast. You’ll need chia seeds, coconut milk, cocoa powder, vanilla, shredded coconut, and fresh strawberries. In place of the xylitol, feel free to use coconut sugar or stevia.

4. Chocolate Cherry Chia Pudding Parfaits

Chocolate and cherry are a marvelous flavor combination, and this parfait uses homemade cherry chia jam with chocolate chia pudding and cacao nibs. Yummy! For the milk in the pudding, almond, cashew, or coconut milk would all work well, with coconut being a richer option.

5. Pian Colada Parfait

This yummy and tropical parfait would be an absolutely lovely breakfast. It’s made with full fat coconut milk, chia seeds, liquid sweetener of choice (for a breakfast, I’d probably cut this in half at least), pineapple, and granola—be sure to use a grain-free granola.

6. Nectarine Parfaits With Walnut Crumble and Lemon Cashew Cream

With sweet and tangy nectarines, chewy raisins, sweet lemony cashew creamy, and a delicious and hearty walnut crumble, this parfait makes a lovely summer dessert you can even enjoy deconstructed on a plate. You won’t wait to wait to put it in a cup!

7. Blackberry Bircher Parfait

Here’s an easy and breakfast-friendly parfait made with homemade blackberry chia jam and a paleo-friendly Bircher muesli, which is a breakfast cereal similar to granola that often features fruits and nuts without much, if any, added sweetener.

8. Raw Banana Brownie Parfait

This superfood-packed parfait is an excellent healthier dessert made with walnuts, dates, cacao and maca powders, vanilla, cashews, maple syrup, bananas, and melted cacao butter. It’s rich and decadent, but full of whole foods ingredients that won’t give you a headache afterwards.

9. Chai Spiced “Yogurt” Parfait

This yogurt parfait is dairy free and made from coconut cream, almond milk, coconut flakes, and chai spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, cardamom, and ginger. Layer the yogurt with frozen berries, pumpkin seeds, and chia seeds for a delicious breakfast treat.

This lovely vanilla parfait has a coconut milk and chia base with maple syrup (optional if you want to avoid sweeteners), vanilla extract, beautiful pomegranate seeds, and slivered almonds. This dish has plenty of protein and healthy fats to start your day.

11. Pumpkin Pie Parfait

When the weather starts to cool off and the wind begins to blow, don’t quit your refreshing parfaits! Try this pumpkin pie version with a date and walnut cinnamon crumble, pumpkin mouse with banana and vanilla, and delicious berry and coconut oil topping.

12. 5 Ingredient Stracciatella Peppermint Parfait

This holiday-worthy parfait is similar to a cheesecake, but much healthier. It features a rich peppermint chocolate chip filling with rum and maple syrup, and is decorated with cranberries and whipped coconut cream. Delicious and impressively beautiful, too!

13. Chia Berry Parfait

These parfaits are made with chia seeds and milk of your choice with raw honey or maple syrup and vanilla. You can used whatever mixed berries you prefer, and a grain-free granola. This recipe includes a link to an amazing paleo granola, or you could use your own.

This simple parfait is made with coconut milk, dark chocolate, maple syrup, vanilla extract, strawberries, and hazelnuts. The creamy and crunchy textures are to die for, and you can really up the richness of this parfait by using super high-quality dark chocolate.

15. Paleo Chocolate Strawberry Parfait

This parfait is rich and luscious with a silky chocolate pudding made from coconut milk and thickened with egg yolk, a whipped coconut topping, and sliced strawberries. Enjoy it for a date night dessert or occasional afternoon treat. Yummy!

16. Peach Parfait

This peach parfait is naturally sweet with dates and peaches. What else do you expect from perfectly ripe peaches? I love the sweet peaches with delicious cashew cream—I’d even add a bit of vanilla powder to the cashew cream if I had it on hand.

17. Strawberry Lemon Coconut Cream Parfait

This creamy and tart parfait uses the lovely combination of sweet strawberries and tangy lemon with a homemade lemon curd rich with honey and butter. It’s gently sweetened and has an extra bright lemon flavor from the lemon extract.

This quick and easy dessert is made with coconut milk, vanilla extract, and local raw honey. The creamy coconut pudding base is topped with whipped coconut cream, fresh raspberries, and fresh blackberries for a treat that’s creamy, sweet, and tangy all at once.
